Winter white dresses for New Year's Eve

A white dress is closely related to a wedding dress but this year we see white dresses at the red carpet all over the world.
During Vogue's Christmas Dream the hostess of the evening, Elena Makri, was wearing a white gown by greek designer Celia Kritharioti. But also other guests were wearing winter white.

So why not wear a winter white dress at your New Year's Eve party, here some dresses by Greek designers seen on the catwalk during Fashion Week winter 2010/2011.

Delight's boutique at Avramioutou 6

In a small street near Monastiraki Metro Station Evi Retziou and Daphne Iliaki, the designers behind DElight opened for a few days a little shop to present their collection. The shop window is decorated by designs of their wintercollection 2010/2011 and the walls are decorated with drawings of the designs.
The shop at Six D.O.G.S.
Tomorrow, the 31st of December is the last day that they will be open from 12.00 to 18.00 o'clock.
To have an impression of their collection, visit my website http://www.patricia-styleandimage.gr/DelightX10/index.html.
You will be able to meet the designers but I am not sure about the mascot who was supporting them during the last fashion show.

Fur all around us

This year we see a lot of fur. Not only the well know fur coats, fake or not, but also as accessories for bags, shoes, collars and the new sleeveless coats, the vests..
The fur vest is a trend that in Athens is copied a lot because of the mild climate.
Here some photos of last month in Athens.

In March 2010 at the Athens Fashion Weeks only Lito Barre had such a 'fur' vest..

Amazing cars at Athenian Capitol

Last night the Hellenic Motor Museum opened her doors at Athenian Capitol . Showing the history of wheels by going from the entrance round and round up to the third floor. Starting from 8.000 years B.C. until now.

Going through an impressive piece of architecture, with excalators and steel constructions.

Athenian Capitol is a new shopping mall at the corner of September 3rd street and Ioulianou in the center of Athens. It is called a green project because of its bioclimate with even solar cells at the top of the building providing energy and gathering rain water for irrigation and cleaning.

At the third floor where the entrance is of the museum you will be impressed by the cars the Charagionis group has selected to show, promising that by the end of January 2011 there will be over 100 cars.
With the Flintstones vehicle as most environment friendly car.
But cars by Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Dino and so on are most favorite by the guests. And they are happy to pose by them.

So did I with 'my' Lamborghini...

During the opening Linda and her band provided live music and George Davlas gave a guest performance.

If buying a car, like the ones in the museum is out of reach, you can always buy a miniature at the museum shop to live your dream..

Vassilis Zoulias meets animal prints

For the followers among you, you understand I was walking around in Kolonaki with my camera. Than I saw this nice cute teddy bear sitting on Christmas tree branche, holding a very trendy shoe.

In my previous post about animal prints I didn't mention designer Vassilis Zoulias. But seeing his animal prints I had to mention this. Also the handbag is worth having it, especially if you don't wear prints in your blouse, dress or coat, this is the perfect solution to follow the trend of this season.
His shop is at Akadimias 30 and it is worth it to have a look at the small shopwindows just showing shoes and handbags.
