Tamta at Thalassa

Last night was the opening of the summer program at Thalassa People's Stage in Glyfada. Cabin 54, Tamta and Sakis Rouvas gave an impressive perfomance. Apostolos Mitropoulos, this time as DJ, kept the dance beat going on.
Tamta changed three times her outfit, all styled by Alexandra Katsaïti.

To present a perfect fashion show, a rehearsal is inevitable. The opening show of Dimitris Dassios at the 13th Athens Fashion Week had te be, so many people came to support the foundation Make-a-Wish and to see the creations of Dimitris Dassios.

Only one day left to the Royal Wedding, everybody is talking about it. No newschannel, gossip program or website let this subject unmentioned, so I am joining too!
Last fashion weeks several greek designers showed a wedding dress, why didn't Kate Middleton choose one of them.

13th Athens Fashion Week: IEK Xaidariou

Dimos Klimenof, Despoina Koliou, Elisabet Zacharaki, Afroditi Milioni and Athina Kotsari, graduates of fashion school IEK Xaidariou presented their men's wear collection during the 13th Athens Fashion Week last month. With sponsor company Giannetos, one of the oldest tailors of Greece, they showed an interesting collection. Tammy Archive, a young fashion designer, is the alias of Thomais Paliobei. She is a fashion graduate of AKTO Art & Design and on the 3rd of April she took part at the fashion show for graduates of fashion schools.

Kate Moss smoking on runway copied at Athens Fashion Week

On No Smoking Day Kate Moss appeared after several years of absence on the catwalk of Louis Vuitton Fashion Show in Paris, smoking a cigarette. Probably any of you have seen pictures of this, if not check here. Is was a major issue and everybody talked about it. Let us not forget the show of Louis Vuitton was about freedom, of expression and free choice...

Vassilios Kostetsos probably liked to match with Marc Jacobs and let two of his models handing a cigarette at his fashion show during the 13th Athens Fashion Week. Read my new post about it.

Aristides Vanis at 13th Athens Fashion Week

Aristides Vanis, as a young fashion graduate of I.E.K. fashion school, showed his creations at the 13th Athens Fashion Week as part of the fashion school show.
Inspired by Karagiozis, the greek hero of the theater of shadows, his outfits were colorful, supporting the greek tradition but who will wear it?
But for a fashion graduate the only time to show his own creations without restrictions of commerce is at such a moment. So let us wait and see what Aristides will bring us in the future.

Vogue Hellas May 2011 - Backstage at Vassilis Zoulias Photoshoot

Last month I had the pleasure to be at the photoshoot by photographer Yiorgos Kaplanidis and fashion editor Georgia Pantele for Vogue Hellas and today I saw the results.

A few hours before the fashion show of Vassilis Zoulias at The Image, Amalias 36 Ismini Papavlassopoulou posed for the camera. The model, the photographer, the stylist and the designer all inspired by photos of Irving Penn.

Here one shoot in the magazine I like to share with you.

Not only Ismini posed also Nastasia Siniakova and Nasia Mylona posed in a way to revive the elegance and romance of the fifties. Irving Penn, a famous fashion photographer of that decade kept these moments alive with his work and has been an inspiration for many of us.
As photographer I couldn't resist to make photos of the making of...so here some photos.

All around us it is about dancing, so also Sprider Stores couldn't do a show without dancing last evening at Balux.
Not the dancers of DWTS as we met Wednesday in Ermou (see my previous post) or during the fashion show of Raxevsky at Gazarte the end of March but it was worth seeing it! Here my impression.

Outfits at Dancing with the Stars at Raxevsky

Last evening at Raxevsky in the center of Athens participants of DWTS gathered to promote the new collection of Dancing with the Stars. Zeta, Angeliki and Claudia-Anna were wearing all T-shirts of the new collection and had chosen the same print: 'Lean on me' but each in their favorite colour.

And one of my favorite outfits was by a litlle girl, all in Mini Raxevsky.

But this little girl would have loved it if she could find her size in the new collection Dancing with the Stars by Raxevsky!

Last night at the shop of Raxevsky in Ermou street (no. 30) the Stars of DWTS came to promote the collection that Raxevsky made for the fans of the show. A collection of T-shirts in the colours white, grey and black with different prints, like 'I am a star',  'Dance with me' and 'Lean on me'.

A live interview of Zeta Makrypoulia and Argyris Aggelou with Evgenia Manolidou in Antenna Studio was a part of the event. But also Thodoris Panagakos didn't hesitate to dance with his young admirers and of course with his 'dame' of the show Marietta Chrousala.

 But also Tryfonas Samaras and Claudia-Anna couldn't resist the rythm of the music
