Leda Dokoumetzidi's 'DENATURE' at Gallery Kourd

Leda Dokoumetzidi opened this evening at Gallery Kourd her exhibition 'DENATURE'.

An interesting exhibition because Leda used fabrics of theater costumes like lace, velvet and taffeta in her artworks, but also she is using out of the box compositions, colors and brushstrokes, creating a new visual reality.

Pierre Cardin in Athens

Yesterday Pierre Cardin, a master in fashion design and not only, arrived in Athens for the Commedia Musicale: "Casanova, Amori e Inganni a Venezia" at the National Opera in Athens.
Mr. Cardin is the director and costume designer of the play.
Iliara Deangelis (Angelica), Pierre Cardin and Matteo Setti (Casanova) at Akrotiri
Today at the press conference at the French Institute in Athens Pierre Cardin gave interesting answers and showed us he is full of energy and plans for the future. He left the crowd with a huge impression.
The perfomance today is to support the children in Africa, in Mali. As good will ambassador of UNESCO and a good friend of Mrs. Mero Kececioglou, President of Greek Action for Africa and Greek consul of Cote d'Ivoire,  Pierre Cardin is helping this cause.

After the press conference Mr. Cardin took some time to chat, to give his signature and to get photographed by his fans.

Bas Kosters at Monsters in Fashion

Last week I attended the opening of the exhibition 'Monsters in Fashion' at Museum Benaki, Athens.
Also a well known dutch designer took part at the Monster's Ball.
Bas Kosters has a master of the Arnhem Fashion Institute (The Netherlands) and his designs are recognizable for his opulent use of colors, intensive embroidery and the use of signature prints.

Some photos of the exhibition (to see the works at the museum you have until the 31st of July):

In january I had the pleasure to photograph his new collection, a colorful parade, at Amsterdam International Fashion Week. The collection with the name 'The Fashion Mutant' is inspired by mutation in nature and is a metaphore for changes in society, the fashion industry and his own company.
A view report:
Slideshow before the fashion show, with mutations of the designer himself.

Instead of just greeting the public, Bas Kosters gave a live performance at the catwalk full energy and fun.
