Ashley Olsen, Chloe Moretz and Emma Roberts were among the guests last night in Paris as H&M presented its first ever catwalk show during Fashion Week.
H&M's Autumn Collection 2013 was shown to an audience in a specially created space within the grounds of the Musée Rodin and also broadcast live at hm.com.
The catwalk show, which combined tailored shapes with delicate dresses to create a tomboy spirit, gave the audience the chance to see H&M’s fashion in line with the international fashion schedule.
The collection will be available in around 200 stores worldwide, as well as online, from September 5, 2013.
"I loved seeing our Autumn Collection on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week. It brought to life the spirit of the clothes, and how you can mix together different styles to create your own personal look. Key pieces like the wool overcoat, the tails and the sequin dresses are going to give you real attitude this autumn," says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's Head of Design.
"It is such an exciting step for H&M to show key pieces for autumn in Paris. The event was magical, staged in a chic environment full of atmosphere. It was great to see fashion that's accessible to everyone presented in one of the most important fashion capitals in the world," says Margareta van den Bosch, H&M's Creative Advisor.
Created by H&M's design team, the Autumn Collection is a playful mix of styles that combines dramatic silhouettes with more decorative pieces. Alongside cropped tails and a masculine overcoat are other versatile outerwear pieces, such as a boho jacket, a double-breasted leather jacket or a wide-cut ceremonial jacket. Delicacy and a sense of faded grandeur is found in pieces such as an open-backed sequin dress or an embellished and fringed shoulder piece, while knitwear is key, especially with an intricate cable knit sweater.
H&M's first ever catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week was styled by George Cortina, and allowed H&M to present its major collection for the season in a whole new light on models such as Cara Delevingne, Isabeli Fontana and Arizona Muse.
The mood of the collection was reflected in the specially constructed venue in the garden of Musée Rodin, decorated like a dream apartment full of the party elegance of '70s Paris.
After the catwalk show, guests celebrated with performances by the French artist Owlle, as well as 2 Many DJ's.
“I’m so excited to be here right now. I think that H&M doing this show during Paris Fashion Week puts H&M in a whole new light,” says Chloe Moretz.
“I loved the fashion show, and I love H&M. I wear it all the time, it’s so wearable and easy to mix. The show was so cool,” says Emma Roberts.
“It was such a good show. I felt like I was in the H&M house, and it was also my house. I had so much fun,” says Cara Delevingne.

Marine Vacth for Yves Saint Laurent's Rouge Volupte Shine
Did you notice that this ad is in 2 versions? Did you see the difference? |
The young actress and ambassador of Yves Saint Laurent, will star in the new film Francois Ozon, "Jeune et Jolie" as I also mention here.
The rising star of French cinema enjoyed considerable success with her role in the movie "Ma part du Gâteau"by Cédric Klapisch in 2011, while in 2012 embodied one of the leading roles in the film Alexandre Arcady's, "Ce que le jour doit a la nuit".
Your lips, Υour rules, Υour pleasure! by YSL
Yves Saint Laurent introduces a new lipstick collection to its range of cosmetics: Rouge Volupte Shine.
What it is:An innovative and comforting lipstick enhanced with fruit extracts rich in vitamins and antioxidants that leave lips visibly softer and smoother with up to eight hours of hydration.
What it does:
Succumb to a unique sensorial experience with dazzling color, extreme comfort, and luminous shine. The luscious, hydrating texture glides on your lips leaving a lightweight aqua shine effect, while Back Injection Technology offers extreme comfort and pleasure upon application. This innovative lipstick is formulated to protect lips from free radicals and seal in moisture for up to eight hours of hydration.
What else you need to know:
Antioxidants in natural extracts of pomegranate and rosemary reduce the look of fine lines, while candellila resin forms a thin, protective layer to help lock in moisture and magnify color and shine. Mineral pigments provide bright, vibrant color and a melting formula (instead of a solid stick) enabling smoother glide-on application and an ultrafine lightweight film on lips. Hyaluronic acid spheres hydrate and soften lips to help seal in moisture for up to eight hours of hydration.
Interview with a master of color: Lloyd Simmonds
For Rouge Volupté Shine, Lloyd Simmonds, creative director make-up Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, invented 19 extremely seductive YSL lipstick shades. Read here his interview.
Tell us about this new Rouge Volupté Shine.
“Rouge Volupté Shine is a new way to wear and play with color. Incredibly light on the lips, with more transparent coverage, its formula contains a dose of color infused into the creamy, balm-like, ultra glossy texture.” You liberate women who are intimidated by vibrant colors! “It’s tough to be daring enough to wear dark purple, electric plum or flamboyant fuchsia. The subtlety of Rouge Volupté Shine allows women to be newly comfortable in dark or forthright shades such as reds, purples and browns. On the lips, they remain chic, natural and incredibly fresh.”
How did you come up with these 19 new shades?
“I wanted to create irresistible, highly expressive shades that work for all skin tones, from fair to dark, and that allow all kinds of desires. First I created the core colors of the collection: beiges, pinks and corals. Then I explored the stronger, bolder ones: N° 19 Fuchsia In Rage, N° 3 Violet Incognito and N° 4 Rouge In Danger, for the pleasure of going out on a limb.”
What’s your favorite color?
“Personally, I prefer the darker shades like the N° 3 Violet Incognito. It’s very rock, high drama, terribly YSL, and yet it’s still subtle on the lips.”
