Beyoncé by Inez & Vinoodh for H&M

H&M is proud to announce a new partnership for its summer campaign with global superstar Beyoncé.

The entertainer, who kicks off her sold out Mrs. Carter Show World Tour on April 15, will appear in television and print ads featuring pieces from the H&M summer collection.
The print and outdoor billboards introduce "Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M”, the idea that all women can be all things: strong, vulnerable, sensual, maternal, fun, flirtatious.

The clothing will be available beginning May in H&M stores worldwide and online. “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial,” says Beyoncé.
“H&M’s summer campaign starring Beyoncé is an epic fantasy, with glamour, drama and also a sense of paradise. It was amazing to watch her on the shoot make it all look effortless – a quality that makes her such an icon for women around the world.

The campaign is the essence of Beyoncé, and also the essence of H&M this summer,” says Donald Schneider, Creative Director, H&M. “In the campaign Beyoncé is wearing the key pieces from H&M you need for life in the sun this summer,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design, H&M.
“There’s the perfect bodycon dress, as well as a flowing sun dress that makes a real statement. And of course there are the bikinis, especially the fringed bikini. What makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input into the design, and they are full of her own personal style.”

The summer campaign features swimwear and beachwear pieces as well as a tie-dye bikini from this summer’s H&M for Water collection. 25% of sales from the H&M for Water collection will be donated to H&M for WaterAid.

The campaign images were shot in Nassau in the Bahamas by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, while the commercial was directed by Jonas Åkerlund. The commercial highlights the opposing nature of the four basic elements and will be available to view online in its entirety, with edited versions for TV. The commercial also features a new song from Beyoncé, Standing On The Sun, which will be available worldwide online and hm.com beginning May.

H&M Conscious Exclusive: Sustainable fashion full of Hollywood glamour

Hollywood glamour comes to H&M this spring with Conscious Exclusive – a partywear collection made from more sustainable materials.
The collection features clothing and accessories for both men and women, and is part of H&M’s Conscious work to offer more sustainable fashion. Materials used in the collection include organic cotton, recycled polyester, recycled polyamide and Tencel.

The Conscious Exclusive collection will be available in around 140 stores worldwide as well as online from April 4, 2013.

“I love how this collection has pure glamour and style, and is made from more sustainable materials. For us at H&M, it’s natural to think about sustainability, and to have it at the heart of our work,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Head of Design.

Old Hollywood comes alive with Conscious Exclusive, a partywear collection perfect for celebrating the arrival of spring. Rich in detail and eloquent design, the collection is full of dramatic gowns and sharp tailoring for women, and a rock and roll red carpet style for men.

A floor-length dusty pink gown is elegant from the front and dramatic from the back, which is entirely open, and is made from 100% recycled polyester. The three-piece suit has been given a feminine twist, with a fitted blazer and high-waisted fitted trousers which zip at the ankle, all made from an organic cotton mix.

There are so many options for living the Hollywood life. An off-white loose kimono has a bohemian air of faded glamour, especially with its trousers that fall right to the floor; a jumpsuit has modern edge with its cut-away back; a demure white dress has rock and roll romance with its sheer sleeves, asymmetric train and bird embroidery; and there are seemingly endless layers of tulle in a corseted dress which feels like it’s stepped out of the old world.

The collection is completed with accessories, such as an embellished box clutch and elegant minimal heels with the tiniest of ankle straps. All are made from more sustainable materials.

The men’s Conscious Exclusive collection brings real attitude to spring tailoring. A slim-fitted jacket has a classic shape which is turned bold and dramatic by fringing down the back of both sleeves. A collarless white shirt has a bow tie attached, which is elegant when tied and dandyish when left undone – perfect worn with a black three-piece tuxedo.
It’s the details that count, like the old-fashioned button braces on a white pair of trousers that make up one part of a white three-piece suit, or the rose print which lines the inside of a tuxedo jacket.

As with the women’s collection, each piece is made from more sustainable materials – part of H&M’s commitment to more sustainable fashion, both today and tomorrow.

Introducing Jessica Chastain for Yves Saint Laurent

MANIFESTO by Yves Saint Laurent introduces proudly their new ambassadress Jessica Chastain.

With her porcelain complexion and red hair, Jessica Chastain, Academy Award Nominee and a revelation at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival in Terrence Malick's Palme d'Or Winner 'The tree of life', is one of the most promising young American actresses of her genearation. She embodied the MANIFESTO woman brilliantly. She has the audacity, the emotion and the seduction.

Born and raised in northern California, Jessica Chastain attended the Juilliard School in New York. Her filmography is testimony to a series of strong career commitments, revealing a multi-faceted personality able to take on very diverse roles. Deeply moving in Tate Taylor’s “The Help”, or as housewife who grasps to hold onto reality in the face of her husband’s alienating behavior in “Take Shelter” by Jeff Nichols, Jessica Chastain is always a striking figure through her presence and spot-on acting.

Her stunning beauty and couture style once again graced the red carpet at this year’s 65th cannes Film Festival, where she presented John Hillcoat’s film in competition “lawless”.
In the months ahead, she will be starring in a number of prestigious films alongside Hollywood’s finest: Al Pacino, James McAvoy, Guillermo del Toro and in Kathryn Bigelow's anticipated "Zero Dark Thirty". Jessica Chastain will also join the cast of Broadway's famous play, “The Heiress”.

Admired, desired, Jessica Chastain belongs in the very closed circle of Hollywood’s up-and-coming stars and is already recognized by her peers: she was nominated in 2012 as Best Supporting Actress at the BAFTA Awards, the golden globe Awards and the Academy Awards. Jessica Chastain was acknowledged as one of the world’s most “influential women” by Time Magazine last April.

The Next One for One Product by Toms: Sunglasses

TOMS launches Sunglasses - The Next One for One Product.

We have met TOMS by introducing a day without shoes, raising awareness of the impact a pair of shoes. Now TOMS introduces its new product.

With every purchase pair of sunglasses, TOMS will help restore the sight of a man in need.

The founder of TOMS, Blake Mycoskie, was searching for months for the next product company whose philosophy is the One for One, and ended up making the glasses publicly.

More specifically, Blake Mycoskie said, "Since 2007, I have realized that the model of TOMS One for One, could find application in other products beyond shoes to help more people in need around the world. Vision is a basic need. Vision loss has a dramatic effect on life, family and social circle of an individual. We are so excited to help more people in need by pulling them from the sidelines."

By purchasing a pair of sunglasses TOMS, a man who treats vision problems will be helped significantly.
TOMS ensure this in the following ways:

  1. medical care
  2. providing eyeglasses
  3. cataract surgery to restore sight

TOMS partner in this effort is the Seva Foundation (www.seva.org). Based in northern California, Seva implements programs and prevention techniques of blindness and vision rehabilitation programs for over 30 years. Seva's programs have helped nearly 3 million people around the world to see again.

Countries of Nepal, Tibet and Cambodia are the first in which TOMS Eyewear will begin actions. The three flagship projects TOMS sunglasses are manufactured in Italy. Each project has an iconic design with attention to detail.
The glasses are hand-painted stripes symbolize the three elements of One for One ™.
The first lane represents the buyer of glasses. The strip on the edges represent the person whose vision will help and the middle lane represents TOMS bringing these two people together!

Blake Mycoskie added: "We take the humble position in which we find ourselves, and we would not be here without the dedication and support of so many people, from private partners, our amazing Giving Partners, our countless customers, our employees in TOMS and of course, family and friends everywhere. With Eyewear TOMS, it feels like starting over again, and still there is so much we can give."

Here a glimpse of the collection.
