Alexander Wang for H&M

H&M teams up with Alexander Wang for their next design collaboration.

H&M announced yesterday during an event at the Coachella Music Festival, in Palm Springs, California, USA, that their next designer collaboration will be with Alexander Wang.

This partnership marks the first time that an American designer teams up with H&M on the much anticipated designer collaboration.
The New York based Fashion Designer’s eponymous brand has firmly established itself by perpetually evolving and re-contextualizing the urban uniform, since it was launched on the runway in 2007.
Alexander Wang’s core sensibility is a reflection on contrasts, blending seamlessly between the refined and the imperfect. His collections have an unprecious outlook on fashion, and always reflect a sense of ease.

The Alexander Wang x H&M collection will feature apparel and accessories for women and men. Typical for his irreverent approach, Alexander Wang will propose a new take on the lifestyle product offering that goes beyond fashion.

The full collection will be available in 250 H&M stores worldwide, and online starting November 6, 2014. Alexander Wang says, “I am honored to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to push boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.”

"Alexander Wang is one of the most important voices in fashion today. He understands exactly what people want to wear and does it with an energy and passion that’s infectious. It feels incredible to be collaborating with him this year,” says Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s creative advisor.

Get ready for Michael Jackson’s new album XSCAPE, with SONY Xperia

It’s official – Epic Records, in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson, announced that it will release XSCAPE, an album of new music by the internationally beloved music icon and King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

To celebrate the launch of this album on May 13, and as part of a unique ‘One Sony’ collaboration, Sony Mobile customers of select new devices, including Xperia Z2 (incl. the tablet) and Xperia Z1S, will be able to get XSCAPE free on the day of its digital release, through the Xperia™ Lounge app.

Sony Mobile will not just be providing customers of the latest Xperia Z2 smartphone with incredible access to the new album through this collaboration, they will also benefit from an exceptional audio experience. Sony audio engineers consulted with visionary Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid to re-create the centre seat experience of his recording studio on the Xperia Z2 so that users can hear the music just as its creators intended.

The sound was optimised using the studio’s console and main monitors as a reference point for the audio tuning on the Xperia Z2 and the MDR-NC31EM headset (bundled with the smartphone2).

Xperia Z2 users can access these audio settings with just one touch, simply by selecting the ClearAudio+ mode. The tuning settings have also been burnt to the digital signal processor on the optional Bluetooth® headset SBH-80. The result? A listening experience as it was intended to be heard.

So if you’re anything like us, you’ll be itching for this to drop – in the meantime, be sure to check out a first sneak-peek / listen to one of the new tracks; “Slave to the Rhythm”, as featured in our Xperia Z2 brand film above.
