De collection was inspired by De Stijl movement, a circle of Dutch abstract artists who promoted a style of art based on a strict geometry of horizontals and verticals among them the famous artist Mondriaan.

MADWALK 2015 - An impression

Yesterday evening at Building 56 of 'Ellinikos Kosmos' in Athens it was for the fifth time that MAD TV organised the MADWALK, a fashion music project. This time sponsored by Aperol Spritz.

A dynamic Fashion Music Project with great success and unique acts which won the audience's applause! Fashion Directors are Ilias Michalolias and Harris Gkotzamanidis, Kostas Kapetanidis did the directing of the show .
The presenter of the evening was Katia Zygouli.
Among the designers were Vrettos Vrettakos, Loukia, Dimitris Petrou, Natar Georgiou and Konstantinos Melis by Laskos, live performances were by Onirama, Eleni Foureira, Shaya, Demy, Katerina Stikoudi and more.

This season the menswear collection SS2015 of Lee continues to evolve, to expand design expertise, and adequately promote the specialty of the fit with fresh new denim stories, intense color bursts, and unexpected details.

The authentic American denim brand is based on the iconic Lefthand denim, which is a pure high-strength fabric directly 13oz sharp original workbook Lee of a more natural softness (the result of a twill line developed from the upper left corner of the material downwards right) and discretionary red caste. A rarity in modern craftsmanship denim, the fabric is the basis of three exciting washed jean and a brilliantly bashed-up denim jacket.

This friday at the Attica Zoological Park the alpargata becomes a canvas for a good cause!

Friday the first of May, 2015, at Attica Zoological Park the most talented comic artists from Comicdom will paint live onto a unique alpargata.

The same day, you can design your own TOMS with the help of artists and gain a unique customised design.

TOMS is a proud partner of WWF in the fight for the preservation of endangered species worldwide. WWF is fighting for the protection of rhinos in the last 50 years.
Therefore, the event's proceeds will go to Attica Zoological Park for the care of rhinos.

Best Catwalk Designer Alexia Lapioti on her way to London

The new designer Alexia Lapioti was at Central Saint Martins, through the scholarship she ensured with her participation at the 16th Athens Xclusive Designers Week by Coca-Cola light with her menswear label Sinister.

Excited and very happy she returned from her trip to London, where she attended a short course at the renowned University Central Saint Martins. The new designer Alexia Lapioti, the creator behind the brand Sinister and prizewinner of the New Designers Awards contest as Best Catwalk at the 16th Athens Xclusive Designers Week.

Sponsored by Coca-Cola light, Alexia could attend the course "Fashion Design & Marketing" and learned how the fashion industry operates and the commercial part of it.
Moreover, she had the opportunity to train key points of the fashion creation process, from design and choice of colors and fabrics, up to sale and promotion of a collection but also basic principles of fashion marketing, related to the creation and "attractiveness" of a fashion brand.

"The scholarship at Central Saint Martins gave me the opportunity to learn basic things about fashion marketing by a professional of the fashion industry, Erica Charles", Alexia told. "I got a taste of fashion studies at academic level and I was given very useful advice on the steps you need to follow from now on. Moreover, Erica suggested us very interesting fashion exhibitions held in London in these days, along with the course, I definitely had to visit, one of these was "Savage Beauty" of Alexander McQueen and Gareth Pugh at the Galeria Melissa in Covent Garden, the 10th anniversary of the brand. I want to thank Athens Xclusive Designers Week and Coca-Cola light for this beautiful and unique experience!"

Once again, the dream of a new designer became real through the platform of the New Designers Awards.
AXDW has established since its beginning, a setting for the promotion of new talent in the domestic and global fashion scene and providing an opportunity for emerging young designers to find their audience.
