Tamta for Stelios Koudounaris @ MadWalk 2017

Tamta opened the runwayshow of Stelios Koudounaris during the 7th Madwalk, The Fashion Music Project.

At this event Greek fashion designers and brands present their latest creations while greek singers gave live performances. Read more on the Fashion Music Project in my previous post!

As the outfit of Tamta is too bold for me I prefer this dress by Stelios Koudounaris as I like the color combinations and the sequins!

Deux Hommes @ Madwalk 2017

MAD celebrated its 7th MadWalk, The Fashion Music Project.  Greek fashion designers and brands participated in fashion shows while greek singers gave live performances.
In this post a glimpse of Deux Hommes, a greek designer duo.

Deux Hommes presented its latest creations while Demy, Eurovision 2017 contestant for Greece, performed her "This is Love".

Celia Kritharioti @ MADWALK 2017

Celia Kritharioti presented her "Glam Queens" at the 7th MadWalk, The Fashion Music Project.

Her collection is a celebration of handmade creativity, a shimmering manifestation of couture and a reason to party!

Vrettos Vrettakos @ MADWALK 2017

Vrettos Vrettakos presented his latest creations during the 7th Madwalk, The Fashion Music Project.
The greek fashion designer showed impressive creations with swarovski crystals and shiny materials. All items of his haute couture and bridal wear collection.

The hair was styled by Konstantinos Vrettakos, inspired by Helmut Newton and the glory days of Studio 54.

Frangos Nikolas completed the looks of Vrettos Vrettakos with amazing jewellery, like a luxury headpiece mask.

MADWALK 2017 - The Fashion Music Project

MadWalk 2017, the Fashion Music Project of Athens was held for the 7th consecutive year showing fashion and music happy together! 

Instead of the red carpet, an orange carpet with the support of Aperol Spritz, welcomed thousands of fashion friends, music lovers artists, fashionistas and celebrities.

The opening of the evening was through a spectacular act starring this year's presenter of the event, Giorgos Mazonakis, who sang a medley of songs like "Φιλοσοφία" (Philosophy) and "Δεν γουστάρω " (I don't like it).

Mary Synatsaki joined him on stage and the 7th MadWalk was opened. Among the designers and fashion labels were Ioanna Kourbela , FUNKY BUDDHA, Madame Shou Shou, Reebok Classic, Stelios Koudounaris, Kendall and Kylie, Apostolos Mitropoulos & Patricia Field, Celia Kritharioti, Deux Hommes, Vrettos Vrettakos, BSB and Axel.

Participating performers among others were Onirama, Tamta, Nino, Otherview, Eleni Foureira and Melisses.

Demy, presenting the song which will represent Greece in this year's contest of Eurovision, «This is love» in a stunning floral backdrop from Lux, perfectly complemented by the creations of DEUX HOMMES.

Sakis Rouvas, returned after five years at Madwalk 2017 and boosted the audience as only he knows, showing exclusively his new dance song "Απόλυτος Έρωτας" (Absolute Love) that with the beat of the song and the performance of Saki revolutionized the Charity Act by BSB.

The evening could not have been without a tribute to a person who has been the perfect combination of fashion and music from the 80s until recently. George Michael's "A Differient Corner» and «Freedom» by Adam Tsarouchis and Nina Lotsari respectively touched the audience of MadWalk 2017.

During the finale of the evening more than 200 models appeared on the catwalk stained orange. around.

It was again a great evening full of fashion and music.

Romee Strijd, living in color for Michael Kors

This photo by Mario Testino for Michael Kors' spring 2017 campaign is making me longing for the summer. Romee Strijd looks amazing and the Hamilton is a must have handbag for coming season.

With its structured silhouette and polished leather it is a timeless handbag.

I love the color setting of this photo! Maybe not a way to hold your handbag but I like the style of the entire photo.

The beauty of sustainability @ H&M Conscious Exclusive

Get ready for the new H&M Conscious Exclusive collection, it will be launched on the 20th of April.

H&M presented its collection for spring 2017, it is all about beauty and the sensual world. Every piece is made from sustainable materials, including BIONIC® - a polyester made of plastics recycled from shoreline waste.

It is a premium collection made for special occasions, available in around 160 H&M stores worldwide, as well as online at hm.com from 20th April 2017.

Each piece in the women’s Conscious Exclusive collection combines the freshness of spring with the soul of sustainability. One key piece is an ethereal gown of flowing pleats. Peonies and mimosa have been screen-printed then distorted to create dream-like prints, while the hand-drawn image of a dreaming woman is quilted into the softest jacket.

Conscious Exclusive captures the mood for the night, especially with the shimmer and touch of sequins that appeal to the senses on a short recycled polyester cocktail dress. Meanwhile the tuxedo is reimagined as a lounge jacket in organic silk and TENCEL® twill, with trousers that playfully flounce at the leg.

Supermodel and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova is starring this year’s Conscious Exclusive in her first ever campaign for H&M as I showed you in a previous post.

Givenchy: To Audrey with love

Audrey Hepburn is an inspiration for many women and not only in the fashion business. Her work as goodwill ambassador for Unicef is well known! For Hubert de Givenchy Audrey Hepburn was his muze and a great friend. In the fifties and sixties they ruled the world with his elegant designs and her stylish and sweet appearance!

In the Gemeentemuseum The Hague in The Netherlands Givenchy presents an inspiring exhibition on his work and on Audrey Hepburn.

It all started with Audrey visiting Hubert de Givenchy in Paris for her role in Sabrina (1954), a start from a great career for both the actress as the fashion designer.

The film Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) is the start of the lbd, the little black dress. So elegant, so stylish, every women wanted such a dress. And even in 2017 a little black dress is still a must have for every women.

Many designs of Givenchy are on display at the museum, I love especially his early years. The designer learned from Cristobal Balenciaga: keep it simple!

Audrey Hepburn has been on many covers all over the world, from Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair but also on magazines like Life and Time.

Audrey Hepburn is on so many covers and as you know I love cats so I shared this one with you!

 In the eighties and nineties Givenchy used a lot of colours, beads and sequins in his designs.

Also a few wedding dresses are on display, including the wedding dress of Audrey!

Every women is beautiful when they follow these beauty tips!

The exhibition is until the 26th of March 2017, so hurry to get a glance of it!

And there is a small Photo Booth with hats, gloves, pearls and sunglasses to look like Audrey!

Grace Coddington's message for Women's day

Grace Coddington draw a great illustration for women's day 2017 and I love it! Grace takes a stand in women's rights as they are human rights.
As you probably know Grace and I are cat lovers so the T-shirt is not only a must have for the message but also for her illustration of the cats! Just a must-have item!

Marc Jacobs printed the illustration of Grace Coddington on a T-shirt and a tote. The items are available online in the U.S.. All net proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood NYC. While supplies last.

Living in a country that women's rights are not a real issue anymore. I feel I have the same rights as any other human. But I would appreciate more rights for pets and animals in general! They are not products so in many countries law makers should consider this and adjust their laws.
They are living creatures too!

VOGUE NL celebrates its 5th anniversary

Mario Testino as guest editor of the dutch Vogue did an amazing job. Celebrating Vogue NL's 5th anniversary, the April 2017 issue is an ode to dutch models. On the cover Doutzen and Lara, in orange, the colour of the Netherlands and gold.

I can't wait to see all Mario Testino's editorial work for this issue! As he asked the editor-in-chief to photograph these models, as they are in the photo, in front of Rembrandt's Night Watch (De Nachtwacht)...Can you imagine Doutzen Kroes and Lara Stone in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam in front of the Masterpiece of Rembrandt?

The first 500 collector's edition issues are available at De Bijenkorf in Amsterdam tomorrow at 10 a.m.!

Maybe we expected a dutch photographer or duo like Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the fifth celebration but as we all love Mario Testino as person and his work we will embrace this edition!
