Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel captures the world of fashion icon and cult figure Diana Vreeland, who transformed life into an adventure and revolutionized fashion. This documentary debuts at the Venice Film Festival (from 31st of August until the10th of September).

Diana Vreeland (1903 - 1989) started in 1937 as columnist for Harper's Bazaar: 'Why don't you', later on she became fashion editor.

From 1963 to 1971 she was editor-in-chief at Vogue.

After she was fired from Vogue, she became consultant to the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 1971.

The Eye Has to Travel, produced and directed by Vreeland's granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Immordino, documents Vreeland senior's incredible reach within the fashion industry and beyond. She is credited with discovering Twiggy and Lauren Bacall, advising Jackie Kennedy on style and helping Diane von Furstenberg, Manolo Blahnik and the Missionis launch their businesses.

The film presents Vreeland through the eyes of the people who knew her best and features interviews from Andy Warhol, Richard Avedon and David Bailey to Hubert de Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Angelica Huston and Ali MacGraw.
