Yves Saint Laurent, Prada and Mondrian

Inspired by the new collection of Michael Barnaart van Bergen 'Hommage' I had a look of the influence of dutch painter Piet Mondriaan (1872-1944) on fashion.

All of us know about the dresses of Yves Saint Laurent in 1965:

But still today the dutch painter is an inspiration source for fashion designers:
