Ottavio Missoni founded with his wife Rossita Jelmini, Missoni fashion house in 1953 by starting a little knitwear workshop in Gallarate, Italy.
Missoni knitwear is recognized for its multitude of patterns such as stripes, geometrics, and abstract florals, in a kaleidoscope of colours. And the liberal use of many different fabrics such as wool, cotton, linen, rayon and silk is another known aspect of their collections.

Jurgen Teller captured Ottavio at 90 years old (!)  for the advertisement campaign fall/winter 2011-2012 ';A wonderful life' with the models Kaitlin Aas, Kinga Rajzak, Valerija Kelava and Kristina Salinovic .
