Sephora Make-up Masters 2011

Saturday 15 October is the Final Contest of Sephora Make-up Masters 2011 in the Golden Hall, Marousi (Athens) in collaboration with Lancôme.
An initiative of the cosmetics company Sephora for professional education of Make Up Artists.

Nine MUA finalists of the company will compete in order to distinguish the 3 winners for 2011: The Make-up Master, the Top Make up Artist and the Senior Make up artist. The finalists are to show their creativity, originality and excellence in execution, working with professional models.
The theme of make up has already been given by the Lancôme.  It concerns the make up collection fall-winter 2011 that pays a tribute to the Parisians women of the forties: The femme fatale!

This late 1940s make-up style has been revived by Aaron De Mey, Lancome artistic director, who describes the Parisian woman as possessing the most sophisticated femininity. The femme fatale also wears the shade of ultimate seduction on her lips and the rage for red lips, according to Lancome, followed the 1945 launch of its first lipstick called Shaker.
Aaron de May says: "I really wanted to create an essential make-up collection that represents the staples of a chic, sophisticated women's make-up arsenal: red lips, brown lined, sculpted, defined eyes, groomed brows and fluffy lashes... A neutral coloured make-up with metallic hints layered over matt sculpting, defining powders. A return to simplicity and sophistication. "It allows me to show a glamorous, graphic, sophisticated make-up style: Brown lined eyes with shades of taupe, red painted lips and red or sparkly black nails... Very Femme Fatale."
