Never stop dreaming! by Caroline De Souza

Friday the 28th of October Caroline De Souza presented her 'Guerreiras' collection at the 14th Athens Fashion Week as you could have seen photos in my previous posts (collection & bridal). Now it is time for some background information.

Her collection is about 'Guerreiras'. It is portugese for warriors. Her warriors are to defend the famous rainforests in Brazil. Like Gisele Bundchen, also Caroline De Souza is from Brazil and supports like many other Brazilians the preservation of the Amazon in Brazil.
The pastel colors of flowers, the different tones of green and the animal prints of the impressive rainforest are the inspiration for Caroline's sping-summer 2012 collection.

Caroline's aim is for women to feel sexy, with class and glamourous. Looking exclusive and special.

Living for years in Greece she sees similarities in the taste for fashion and style because of the same weather and culture. Brazilians bikinis are finding a lot of greek fans, and she loves it!

Caroline De Souza started her atelier 8 months ago in a difficult time but it made her stronger to create something unique for each individual.
L'Atelier by Caroline De Souza started ECO-Fashion, very common in Brazil. She recycles clothes, accessories, fabrics and everything that is usefull. Old fabrics become new with a special way of washing and she reconstruct accessories to become unique and exclusive. She never throws away material that she believes she can use for one of her creations.

Her studio-store in Ano Glyfada is the place where she creates, recycles ,transforms and sells accessories and clothing. She gives tips of styling, from the beach to a bride! As we saw in her collection...

As an artist she takes inspiration from nature, art and music!
In Greece she worked for other fashion houses like Kathy Heyndels. It was a great 'school' because with the experience she gained she makes less mistakes!

Her first show at the 14th Athens Fashion Week, she organized herself from the idea to the styling.
Having support of friends and sponsors like the mini wine bottle with her name and contacts and the decoration from two amazing creative ladies from Elite Events Athens, the strong positive energy of Malu's voice, made 700 people smile during her show and for some minutes forget about everything!

The model is holding a boa of ivy by Elite Events Athens, as the garlands on the side of the catwalk.

Her collection exists out of recycled material. T-shirts of organic cotton were transformed and refixed. In her first collection on the catwalk she showed a mix of all, from beachwear to bridal, sharing her creativity with the people.
Her dream come true! So don't forget her slogan NEVER STOP DREAMING!
