One day without shoes

Today is the day for One day without shoes.

Go today without shoes so kids don't have to. One day without shoes is the day we raise awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child's life by taking off our own.

Why Shoes?

Health - Millions of children are at risk of injury, disease and soil transmitted infection

Education - In some areas, shoes are required for children to attend school.

Opportunity - Children who are healthy are more likely to be successful students.

Blake Mycoskie is the Founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS, and the man behind the growing One for One movement.
A favorite quote of his by Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

For every pair of shoes Toms sells, Toms gives a pair to a child in need.

Also the students of Fashion Workshop by Vicky Kaya are participating. Here a few snapshots of the video clip made for TOMS.

Are you going to join them on the 10th of April at The Golden Hall around 6 p.m.?

And a glimpse of the making off without any cutting...

And here the original video clip for TOMS One day without shoes 2012
