CHIME FOR CHANGE by Beyoncé, Frida and Salma

On June 1st, CHIME FOR CHANGE presents a global concert event to put girls' and women's issues on the world’s stage. Millions of people will join in THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE, to promote education, health and justice for girls and women everywhere.
The stage at Twickenham on June 1 will be filled with powerful voices of change who believe that girls and women everywhere deserve the right to be educated, healthy, safe and celebrated.

THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE will be led by Artistic Director Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, who will perform alongside a host of musical artists and presenters including Jennifer Lopez, Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Machine, HAIM, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Laura Pausini, Rita Ora, Timbaland, and many more to be announced in the coming weeks.
James Franco, Blake Lively and Jada Pinkett Smith will be presenters at the concert.

The concert will start at 5.30pm and finish at 10:00pm and each artist will perform special sets with some exciting collaborations expected. Beyoncé will perform a 45 minute special set.

Throughout the concert short films will be shown highlighting issues such as: 60% of children not in school are girls, 800 women die daily in pregnancy or childbirth - most of whom would live with access to proper care, and despite gains, just 21% of seats in national parliaments are held by women.

Co-founders Salma Hayek Pinault, Frida Giannini and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter are promoting three key areas: education, health and justice for every girl, every woman, everywhere.

As founder of CHIME FOR CHANGE, Gucci will underwrite the concert event so that all ticket sales (less VAT and service fees) will support projects pursuing change for girls and women, specifically in the areas of education, health and justice.
“This is the emergency and the opportunity of today,” said Gucci Creative Director and CHIME FOR CHANGE Co-founder Frida Giannini. “We have reached a significant moment in the history of girls’ and women’s empowerment and now is the time for change. On 1 June at Twickenham Stadium, I hope that THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE will help the voices calling for change to become so loud that they cannot be ignored.”

Legendary UK promoter, Harvey Goldsmith, responsible for the world’s biggest global charity concerts, such as Live Aid, Live Earth and Live 8, will produce the four-hour concert alongside Kevin Wall and Aaron Grosky from Control Room, who have worked with Harvey on many of these great events. In a world first, every ticket buyer will be able to personally choose which project the money from his or her ticket will fund.
