Angelos Frentzos Spring-Summer 2015 @ Shanghai Fashion Week

Angelos Frentzos presented his spring-summer 2015 collection during Shanghai Fashion Week.

Shanghai has the largest market in the world and is the largest city on the planet, Angelos Frentzos is the first Greek and the first European designer who participated in the Shanghai Fashion Week.

After major European brands, such as Chanel, Prada, Maison Martin Margiela and DSquared2,  Angelos Frentzos attended the event as guest designer. He presented three collections for Spring- Summer 2015, especially chosen for the Shanghai Fashion Week.
The collections Reversed Obscurations, Resort Ringmaster Make-Up (Womenswear) and Eraserhead Jugglers (Menswear).

The show was helt in Fuxing Park, Xiantindi, which gathers most large stores of European and international luxury brands. The exclusive models involved were all women and men from China. "I've always found Asian beauty charming," says Angelos Frentzos. "I wanted to reciprocate the honor by the invitation from Shanghai Fashion Week by using only models from China. Furthermore the thematic collections, which were influenced by the Asian circus, found an excellent way with the faces of China. "

The show at Shanghai Fashion Week launched a two-year collaboration by Angelos Frentzos with showroom VDS, which operates in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Milan and New York.
"The Chinese market has made an impressive opening to international brands in recent years, something I noticed even during a simple walk in the shopping areas of Shanghai, where the number and size of branches of large firms, far exceeds that of European metropolises. China and its market now constitute a significant opportunity and a great challenge for a designer », says Angelos Frentzos.

The Shanghai Fashion Week is held twice a year, as part of the Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival, which lasts one month. Under the auspices of the Municipality of the City and the Ministry of Commerce of China, under the supervision of the Shanghai Textile Group, the Shanghai Fashion Week, aims to invite renowned international designers, to provide a forum for young Chinese designers, as well as being in China a sales channel for international brands.
