His collection is inspired by greek folklore and traditional island wear. His colourful prints, the white lace and embroidery, the jewellery design, the handbags all included to make his show a pleasure to our eyes.
Here my photo review.
About the designer
Apergis is an insightful and imaginative fashion designer, a stylist with constant presence in the press, cinema and TV production with great experience in creating and managing big retail shops and fashion ateliers.
His ventures in fashion started from childhood in Patra, where he was born and educated, in the haute couture atelier of his mother Sophia Apergi. A few years later, he attends intensive seminars for fashion design in Italy (1993-1994, Frascati, Rome), and Greece (Athens 1995). In 1996 he works on clothes remaking and casual clothes decoration, presented in the Army Factory shop in Myconos.
Since then, his presence in the realm of fashion is marked by his collaboration with the fashion designer Nikos Apostolopoulos. Panos Apergis first participation in fashion shows took place 15 years ago, in Milan and Bologna, under the thematic title “fashion – textile – colour”, and since 2009 he has participated in the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th Athens Fashion Week.
Panos Apergis has also worked as a costume designer, in collaboration with Evelyn Sioupi, with whom they still work together in styling and costumes in cinema and theatre, for well known directors such as M. Reppas, Th. Papathanassiou, K. Giannaris and S. Kraounakis.
For the past three years, Panos Apergis has extended his creativity in the area of jewelry design, creating unique sets, using industrial material like high-pressure pipes or rubber in combination with casting metal in traditional forms.
Many of his creations are exhibited at the Benaki Museum and Megaro Mousikis.
