Rijksstudio Award 2015 – And the winner is...

The book bracelet by Lyske Gais and Lia Duinker won the Rijksstudio Award 2015. In january I wrote you about the contest and Lyske and Lia succeeded to create a masterpiece and win the price! They were inspired by the etching of Rembrandt van Rijn "De steniging van Stefanus", created in 1635.

Also I like to show you one of the top 10 entries, it is a design by Mattijs van Bergen and Job Wouters, while  it should be mentioned on this blog about fashion and art!

Art will always be an inspiration for fashion!

The design is inspired by Festoon of Fruit and Flowers by Jan Davidsz de Heem between 1660 and 1670.
