Said Mahrouf showed his collection 'Conferences of the birds' at the 24th Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. I had the pleasure to sit on the front row. Taking photos from the front row was a new challenge but this post is all about the gracious creations of the designer.
Conferences of the birds is a colourful collection with draped dresses and embroidery. The use of silk by Said Mahrouf gave the dresses elegance that every woman desires to wear a piece of his collection.
Parisian painter Yassine Mekhnache collaborated with the dutch designer by adding his artwork on the gowns and the embroidery to emphasize the drawings of the birds, creating 'real' peacocks!
I loved the collection, stylish dresses for special occasions, it was a pity that some dresses were too long for the models (or the other way round the models were ...) so they had to lift the dresses.
