Das Leben am Haverkamp, a collective of four designers, opened the 27th edition of Amsterdam Fashion Week. Presenting an unconventional fashion show with models from all ages and sizes.
All the models were wearing the same, hiding behind or could we say wearing a plexiglass with a printed garment. From outerwear to lingerie.
The collective's approach to designing fashion results in thought-provoking, unpolished work lead to this unusual presentation of clothes.
With this collection they aim to question the need for functionality in fashion, when fashion is purely used as method to carry out their artistic opinion.
Anouk van Klaveren, Christa van der Meer, Dewi Bekker and Gino Anthonisse are the forces behind this collective 'Das Leben am Haverkamp'. They formed it after graduating from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague and named it after their headquarter at Haverkamp, in the outskirts of The Hague.
All four designers have their individual label and they present their their work together to display their shared vision regarding the current fashion and design scene.
