A touch of impressionism by Patricia Munster

I am missing my visits to inspiring exhibitions at musea, like the wonderful exhibition 'The garden paintings' by Monet at Kunstmuseum in The Hague. The beautiful colours Claude Monet used in his paintings, the technics like you just caught a glimpse of it, just an impression and especially the bright and vibrant artworks.
I love impressionism, because it created a model for freedom. And I love freedom, realising that freedom hangs on a thread. At the moment in many countries people are not allowed to get outside their houses. Thankful that I am living in The Netherlands and I am allowed to get some fresh air.

Artistic Impression by Patricia Munster

As I love walking in nature and listening to the sounds. Sometimes quiet, sometimes a storm but always listening to the rhythm of my feet touching the ground. A bird whistle, a cow moos, a sheep bleats and a horse neighs. I am thankful for living near a beautiful park with all kind of animals and birds and we are not in a total lockdown.

Also I love to make beautiful work, being creative in anyway I can. So with my camera I walked around and I love a challenge. With the use of Abstract Paint FX by Giallo via Design Cuts I created this impressionistic artwork.

Get inspired by Claude Monet.

Besides Claude Monet's artworks I love works by Albert Sisley, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Edgar Degas. Who is your favourite impressionist?

The new shopping: Dior's virtual boutique

As we are staying home for #flattenthecurve, we are more on the world wide web than ever. Scrolling through news facts and dreaming for better days, longing for the days we can go shopping again.

Dior present box

Dior created a virtual beauty boutique and I love it. You can explore the store by walking in and have a closer look at the products, get informed about it and you can buy it immediately. Or enjoy and travel with the video clips to a wonderful feel moment, just by clicking on the play button at the parfums.

Boring websites with only products can learn a lot of this three-dimensional boutique in Paris!

Enjoy your tour through this amazing online boutique at Dior.

Dior Virtual Boutique
Welcome to Dior

The boutique will change six times a year. Not only the interior, but also the products. At the moment, the theme of spring is on display, full of flowers.

Looking for a video film to give you an impression I found some interesting episodes on the quest for essences, I like to share with you.
Enjoy beauty every moment!

Circular Fashion in 2020

Walking by closed stores and looking at the beautiful clothes inside circular fashion must be on top of the fashion professionals lists.

As Prabal Gurung said:

H&M on circular economy
Read H&M report on sustainability.
As in many countries there is a total lockdown I am wondering what will happen to all the stock inside the clothing shops. Online shopping is still possible but with these uncertain times people will spend less on clothing. The most important is to stay safe!

But it doesn't mean the clothing industry must close down, they should look for new possibilities and circular fashion is an excellent start.
A hot item in my hometown is personal shopping. Make an appointment and the shop owner will open exclusively for you. But it will not regenerate the turnover that was expected. So stores will remain with their stock.

So let's think about circular fashion. But what is circular fashion and how can we help?

The main issue is to use materials that can be re-used again. An item that is becoming more popular than ever. But in the meanwhile you can be creative too and make something new of your old wardrobe or recycle your clothes. Explore the internet and you will find countless ideas on how to pimp your clothing and to change your clothes in a second-hand store.

Many fashion companies are looking for ways to change the future. Among side it is H&M: "We’re changing the way we do business to become climate-positive and fully circular: making the most of all resources, cutting carbon emissions and turning waste into new resources.

Anna Gedda, Head of Sustainability H&M Group: “I am proud of all the progress we did in 2019. Looking ahead, not only our industry will continue changing rapidly, but also the world as a whole. This 2020 has started with a challenge we never saw before with the spread of COVID-19 affecting the whole world, companies and societies. I am confident that the long-term vision we always had, and will continue having, on sustainability will play an – even more – crucial role in facing these challenges. It will be more important than ever to continue our journey towards a circular economy and sustainable consumption while creating prosperity through job opportunities. This report is only a summary of the great effort all our colleagues around the world do every day to change the future of fashion.”
