Yesterday Prada showed its spring-summer 2012 collection at Milan Fashion Week. Full of colorful designs, flower patterns and cars. Sweetness combined with cars was the main theme of the show.
The flower patterns were sometime printed, sometimes made of lace on satin, sometimes made of fabric, like roses you could gather.
But almost every design had a reference to the American cars of the fifties.

Car prints but also bags with pictures of cars, tight leather skirts that looked like the covering of seats of expensive cars and shoes with metal heels and 'flames' coming out.

Not only the cars but also the clothing referred to the fifties: knee-length pleated dresses, pencil skirts, angular cut jackets, bandeau tops and bathing suits asking for pin up poses.
