The final votes have been counted and fashion enthusiasts from all over the world have chosen
the brightest rising star Lina Michal to win the internationally acknowledged design honor
MUUSE x VOGUE Talents Young Vision Award 2013.
Congratulations to the winner of the MUUSE x VOGUE Talents - Young Vision Award 2013:
Lina Michal from Sweden, graduated from Beckmans College of Design in 2013, wins with her collection ‘Heathen Hearts’. Lina is inspired by her own Swedish heritage, and describes her collection for this year’s MUUSE x VOGUE Talents as “organic volumes, reminders of our primitive urge to decorate ourselves”.
Lina Michal was congratulated this morning by the MUUSE team and says;
“I feel like a marathon runner who just crossed the finish line. I’ve got the heartbeat of a hummingbird! And I’ll be writing all my emails with CAPITAL LETTERS today!”
and continues:
“It’s a surreal feeling, when I entered my collection in the competition, I never thought I’d go this far. The best part about the whole thing has been the unbelievable support that has been pouring in during the competition from friends and complete strangers. The win is really the cherry on top!”

The prize
As winning designer, Lina Michal will join MUUSE and design a MUUSE Editions capsule collection to be produced and sold by MUUSE, supported with free production, sourcing, PR, marketing and sales.
In addition, Lina Michal will be given an online feature on VOGUE Talents. Lina Michal impressed the public, Senior Fashion Editor of Vogue Italia and Vogue Talents Sara Maino, and MUUSE Director Gitte Jonsdatter with her collection ‘Heathen Hearts’;
“I couldn’t be more thrilled with the public choice. Lina’s organic, fragile forms are packed with emotional drama that really pushes Nordic fashion boundaries. I’m excited to see how our team helps Lina translate this timeless, yet fresh aesthetic to ready-to-wear,” says Gitte Jonsdatter, Co-founder of MUUSE & Director of Strategy.
