Jonathan Christopher Hofwegen presented during Amsterdam International Fashion Week his collection 'Personatus' as part of Generation 12 (ArtEz Fashion Masters).
He used insects as inspiration. Insects are creatures who most people do not want to see, but who are still there like people trying to hide their darker side under a mask...
Jonathan created prints and fabrics that are light sensitive, some insect prints are not visible but UV-light is making the print visible and change the color.
This collection he also showed during Berlin Fashion Week, he was a nominee of the Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf with Marc Jacobs as patron of the DfT award and chairman of the jury. Read about this contest on the website.
