Actress and Yves Saint Laurent Beauté ambassadress, Marine Vacth, will be the leading actress of François Ozon’s new film, Jeune et Jolie.
Young up-and-coming star of the French cinema, Marine Vacth met critical success in 2011 for her role in Ma part du Gâteau by Cédric Klapisch. She is again on screen, now as the heroine of the famous French filmmaker François Ozon’s much anticipated fourteenth film.
In Jeune et Jolie, Marine Vacth will play opposite the immense actress Charlotte Rampling, as well as Géraldine Pailhas and Frédéric Pierrot (Best Supporting Actor nominee at the 2012 César Ceremony for his role in the film Polisse by Maïwenn). The shooting has started very confidentially in the South of France and we will have to wait until beginning of 2013 to discover on screen Yves Saint Laurent Beauté’s beautiful and talented Parisienne spokesperson.
Jeune et Jolie will complete François Ozon’s very rich and diverse filmography that brilliantly alternates comedy and thriller, sometimes playing at the borders of science fiction. His career is marked by numerous successes such as Sous le Sable (2001), 8 femmes (2002), Swimming Pool (2003) or more recently Potiche (2011), and the most famous actors have been caught in his lens, from Catherine Deneuve to Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant to Gérard Depardieu.
Please note as well that Marine Vacth will hold, end of 2012, one of the leading roles in Alexandre Arcady’s new film, Ce que le Jour Doit a la Nuit.
