This Saturday, the 22nd of October, Dutch Design Week 2016 kicks off in Eindhoven.
It is the biggest design event in Northern Europe and DDW presents work and ideas of more than 2.500 designers to more than 275,000 visitors from home and abroad. In more than hundred locations across the city, DDW organises and facilitates exhibitions, lectures, prize ceremonies, networking events, debates and festivities. DDW is different from other design events, because it concentrates on the designs of the future. Although during the event every imaginable discipline and aspect of design is on offer, the emphasis is on experiment, innovation and cross-overs. Exceptional attention each year goes to work and development of young talent.
DDW is divided into three design areas: Strijp Area, Central Area and East Area. The opening hours differ for each location, but most are open daily from 11:00-18:00 hours.
Visitor questions are answered and directions are provided at three official information points: at the Central Station exit, the Witte Dame and in the Klokgebouw. DDW is pleased to help you here with up-to-the-minute information and a free map.
During DDW there are presentations and designers for you to visit at 100 locations. Some are free and some are with a ticket.
With your DDW ticket, a personal wristband, you get nine days of unlimited access to:
