Yesterday evening it was a joy to see the perfomance of the athletes at the 100 metres for men at the Olympic Games of London 2012. Can you image to run 100 metres in less than 10 seconds?
I can't but eight men did! Three men from Jamaica*, 3 men from the USA, 1 from the Netherlands and 1 from Trinidad and Tobago.

All the eyes were focused on Usain Bolt, five-time World and three-time Olympic Champion and World and Olympic record holder.

The chase for Gold starts...

and Usain Bolt is unbeatable, improving his Olympic Record: 9 seconds and 63 hundredths ! Keeping his promise to his fans! His forth Olympic Title!

And this evening Usain Bolt strikes again with 19.32 sec at the final of the 200 meters for men. WOW!

Usain Bolt won Gold in style, wearing Jamaica's official kit, designed by Cedella Marley.
The official kit features a blend of the country's colours – green, black and gold – and is emblazoned with slogans such as "positive vibrations". Cedella, who, as the daughter of Bob Marley is close to royalty by Jamaican standards, was also commissioned by Puma, the country's athletic sponsors.

After winning the 200 m title in the 2002 World Junior Championships in Kingston, Jamaica, Bolt signed a sponsorship deal with Puma. To promote Bolt's chase for Olympic glory in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, Puma released a series of videos including Bolt's then-world-record-setting run in Icahn Stadium and his Olympic preparations.

After his world record breaking run in New York City, which was preceded by a lightning storm, the press frequently made puns on the Jamaican's name, nicknaming him "Lightning Bolt". During the Beijing 2008 100 m final, Bolt wore golden Puma Complete Theseus spikes that had "Beijing 100 m Gold" emblazoned across them.

Sponsors have been queuing up to do deals with Usain Bolt since he set the world of athletics alight in Beijing. In March 2012, Bolt starred in an ad for Visa and the London 2012 Olympics.
On 19 April 2012, Bolt announced, via Twitter, that he will be partnering with mobile gaming company to release a mobile game.
On 12 July 2012, Bolt and RockLive launched Bolt!, a new iOS game based on the Jamaican sprinter.

Bolt lets the Jamaica Tourist Board use his name and image without payment, as they did in TV advertising with Virgin Holidays and Puma this year.

Did you know that in 2008 Usain Bolt has launched a fashion line in partnership with Sun Island Jamaica Limited. Bolt’s line supports charities that better the island nation of Jamaica. The actual clothes are divided into three lines to target different markets: a souvenir line, an Urban Line, and a line of Signature Polo shirts featuring the “To the World” pose.

And he has his own foundation: the Usain Bolt Foundation, dedicated to the legacy for happy children; to enhance the character of children through educational and cultural development, as they live their dreams.

* Yohan Blake, Bolt's teammate from Jamaica and 2011 world champion, finished second with a time of 9.75 seconds to clinch the Silver and USA's Justin Gatlin finished third with a time of 9.79. Tyson Gay and Ryan Bailey of the USA were placed fourth and fifth with a time of 9.80 and 9.88 respectively. Churandy Martina of the Netherlands sixth with 9.94 and Richard Thompson of Trinidad and Tobago seventh with 9.98.
Asafa Powell run in the semi-final under 10 seconds (9,94), in the final he got cramp.
