'Lightness of being'

On the 15th of November Daphne Valente opened the exhibition of her work at the Institute of Fine Arts in Kifissia, Tsichritzis.

Completing 25 years in fashion Daphne Valente was looking for a creative outlet and succeeded in her exhibition 'Lightness of Being.

The wind had taken a scarf and made it weightless was the inspiration of the jewelry. Using materials as silver, gold and industrial materials but also materials from the haute couture. 

Her so recognizable garments and scarves were showed and always attracting my attention.

Besides jewelry, clothes and accessories the exhibition was accompanied by works of Yiangos Athanasopoulos, Zeta Antsaklis, Nikos Vardakastanis, Katerina Vafias, Lydia Venier, Marina Vernikos, Juliane Biallas, Vassilis Vrettos, Tassos Vrettos, Mara Desipri, Bill Georgoussis, Katerina Kaloudi, George Kalfamanolis, Vassilis Karidis, Vangelis Kiris, Dora Minaidis, Joanna Nikolareizi, Akiss Paraskevopoulos, Stefanos Paschos, Roula Revi, Pavlos Samios, Katerina Tsatsani, Manolis Charos and Xaris Christopoulos, distinguished authors from the fields of art and fashion photographing the shawl of Daphne, expressing each in his own way "Lightness of Being."
