Kris Van Assche from Eastpak and Misericordia to Lee

After Eastpak and Misericordia, Belgian designer Kris Van Assche has demonstrated his penchant for collaborations by joining forces with denim wear brand Lee for their upcoming Autumn-Winter collection. Dior Homme’s Artistic Director was drawn to Lee by his blue-jean “work-wear” inspirations for his own label. His elegant and minimalist collection, made up of the denim wear brand’s five essential menswear items, will be on sale as of July.

The denim jacket, shirt, bomber jacket, chinos and 5-pocket style jeans, will be available in two colours: the classic blue-jean colour of course, but also dark brown. They will be available for sale in the designer’s retailers as well as in selected Lee stores.

For spring-summer 2012 Kris Van Assche collaborate for a second time with Eastpak to create a collection of bags.
In a strong urban spirit with cool elegance, Kris Van Assche has created 7 designs available in three combinations of fabric and colours.
As an echo to the black/grey/natural palette of his FW2011/2012 collection, the bags are a mix of sportswear influences, classical elegance and military details.
For instance, parachute cloth, leather and rough cotton are combined and smarten up the whole range.
The bags reflect the designers trademarks: flexible fabric and sobriety, internal structure and clean lines.
Each bag has a metal key ring, made out of two pieces that fit together, each part representing the name of the two brands.
