Army of Me @ Amsterdam Fashion Week

Army of Me, a Swedish menswear label, presented its AW16 collection during the 24th Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam.
The designers behind the label are Daniel Wahlberg and Richard Sjöblom, they offered us a mysterious show, with men wearing gas masks. The designer duo uses a lot of layers and black is the main colour of the collection, only one off-white shirt.
One of the designs reminded me of Darth Vader. See for yourself!

About Army of Me

In 2008, designers Daniel Wahlberg and Richard Sjöblom from Stockholm, Sweden founded the brand called Army Of Me. The first collection was released Spring/Summer 2009 and consisted of 8 different styles and was only produced in 20 pieces in each of them.

Since then Army Of Me has grown into a well recognized brand all over the world offering full ready-to-wear fashion collections. Mysterious masculinity meets feminine elements creating a haze for the stereotypical.

The tailoring and cuts are playful yet sophisticated and materials are carefully chosen. The smallest detail can make the difference massive. Layering of fabrics in somewhat monochrome colors has always been expressed in the collections since the birth of the label.

Original shapes and cuts makes every garment a statement of individuality.

The concept was born out of a wish to do something different. The idea is simple: Combining classic designs from the west with avant garde fashion from the east.
