Tony Cohen showed during the 24th Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam a very diverse women's and men's collection for Fall / Winter 2016/2017.
In this post it is all about his womenswear collection.
Tony Cohen found inspiration for this collection in in round shapes, emphasising the flowing lines of the human form, accentuating waists and A-classic lines with some extra length to give a modern twist to the characteristic style of the dutch designer.
Tony Cohen started the show with white and blacks, a little green, brown and beige but black, with here and there a hint of red, dominated the color palette and emphasised the serious mood of the collection and the show. I enjoyed watching the use of abstract lace in his cocktail dresses.
The jewellery was by Hans Appenzeller.
The models had some interesting hair decoration of black beads continuing on their legs...
''The designs have no flashy accents. Beauty is in the details, subtle elegance is the core idea behind this collection, '' Tony Cohen said.
Here a glimpse of the show.
