Oilily @ Amsterdam Fashion Week

During the 24th Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam Oilily showed its women's collection for autumn / winter 2016.
'Different is beautiful' is the motto of Oilily, the fashion house is inspired by ethnic diversity. People with different cultures, customs, colors and preferences are an inspiration to the design team.
The background of the catwalk consisted of fabric panels in different colors that corresponded with the different parts of the collection. Not only in color but also in prints, shapes and materials.

The show started colorful with warm oranges, reds, greens and blues. The shapes of the collection were faithful to feminine curves.
Oilily presented contrasts between sport and luxury items. Comfortable, soft and rich materials were part of the collection. The colorful abstract prints, as we know Oilily, were present in dresses, scarves and bags.
The beautiful scarves styled with knitwear dresses and coats are must-haves!

Here a glimpse of the collection.

During the finale traditional djembé drummers walked on the catwalk and played along with the beats of DJ Joost van Bellen and Sander Stenger,  we enjoyed a mix of music from different cultures.
