At Vogue Warehouse in the center of Amsterdam nominees of Lichting 2013 had the
opportunity to present their best design in one of the rooms during Vogue
Fashion's Night Out.
In my previous post, I presented Jazz Kuipers and in this one on Anne van den Boogaard and on the winner of the Lichting G-Star Talent Award Henriette Tilanus.
Anne van den Boogaard is a fashion design graduate of Amsterdam Fashion Institute, she presented a design of her collection 'Infinity 'n shit'.
Award winner Henriette Tilanus is a graduate of ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Arnhem.
As a nominee of Lichting 2013 she presented her collection 'Let the dust settle' at Amsterdam Fashion Week in July 2013 and she impressed the international jury with her designs.
The colorful pieces were inspired by the stylish world of Lady Edith Sitwell. She experimented with textiles, embroidered on plastics, hand painted checks, dots and bleached striped on denim. She ripped out threads, knitted parts and created abstract flowers from stuff she found in her atelier and on the streets. Textile experiments that resulted into a modern and eccentric womenswear collection.
