All about 18th Athens Xclusive Designers Week

41 Fashion designers and brands are getting ready for the 18th Athens Xclusive Designers Week. The designers and brands from Greece and abroad will present their new fashion trends for Spring - Summer 2016 from 23 until October 26, 2015 at the Conference Center of Ethniki Asfalistiki in Athens.

AXDW for the 18th time is carving new paths in the development and promotion of Greek fashion at home and abroad by investing in partnerships with international agencies, media and buyers, even in difficult times and provides a complete dialogue platform for representatives of the fashion industry with the general public, aiming the extroversion of Greek designers.

This year AXDW managed to involve the largest fashion showroom representing international fashion brands in Asia, the Danube Fashion Office. The Danube Fashion Office, comes for first time in Greece, exclusively for the 18th AXDW, with the intention to explore the possibility of cooperation with Greek designers of clothes and fashion accessories.

Twenty three fashion shows, showrooms, exhibitions, happenings, design contests, international guests and twelve young talents who make their debut at Fashion Week in Athens, will attract the attention during the 4 days of AXDW.
Among the participants designers, new collections will present two very important designers from Serbia, guests of the event.

Finally the Athens Xclusive Designers Week, recognizing the importance of accessories and faithful to its vision to represent as closely as possible the Greek creativity in fashion, for the 2nd time will organise a section for Greek Accessory Designers, the Xclusive Elements.

More than 20,000 guests will have the opportunity to have a closer look at Greek Fashion Accessories Designers, but also have the possibility to make purchases, taking advantage of tailored prices. At Xclusive Elements 18 labels are participating: Archtrend, E.T. Collection Creations by Elsa Toli, Eireen Scarves, Lamprini, Maesa Morado, Miaou-Niaou, My Scarf, Rubee Handmade, 7PM, Sophia Koutsoukou.

The third day of 18th AXDW is dedicated to a well-established institution: the New Designers Awards, which for nine years highlights and rewards new talents. 12 young designers will present their S / S 2016 collections and will claim three distinctions: Best Designer, Best Trendsetter and Best Catwalk. The Young Designers who will compete are: Blondie.e, Chris & Tonia, Demis Araniadis, JK by Joy Koumentakou, Mal-le by Aggeliki Maleviti, Maria Vytinidou, Maro Martzh, Nella Ioannou, Parle Moi, Penelope Demetriou, Persephone and Tryfonas Modestou

Also on that day fashion colleges AKTO Art & Design College and Athens Fashion Club Fashion School present the creations of their students in on the catwalk.

For all days of the event, AXDW opens again its doors to all who feel they have a talent for drawing, and invites them to participate in an open competition the Fashion Design Project, regardless of profession and education, to compete for a place in the New Designers of next tournament, "winning" the votes of the public through online voting open.
