This post is not about Fashion or Art but about my learning process in a FabLab and by taking you on my journey in small and easy steps I hope to provide you in the future some impressive pieces of fashion and art!
As photographer and fashion graduate I am interested in and fascinated by new inventions, about printing my photographs in different ways, in 3D printing for fashion items and a combination for those two.
Since last week I started in a FabLab. I have the opportunity to investigate new technologies and share it with you! Today I started by learning how to print on T-shirts, scroll down to see a glimpse of the process.
But first what is a Fab Lab?
Fab Labs provide widespread access to modern means for invention. They began as an outreach project from MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), and became into a collaborative and global network. A Fab Lab is a technical prototyping platform for innovation and invention, providing stimulus for local entrepreneurship.
A Fab Lab is also a platform for learning and innovation: a place to play, to create, to learn, to mentor, to invent. Working within a Fab Lab means connecting to a global community of learners, educators, technologists, researchers, makers and innovators- -a knowledge sharing network that spans 30 countries and 24 time zones.
Because all Fab Labs share common tools and processes, the program is building a global network, a distributed laboratory for research and invention.

These photos are taking by my smartphone but you can get an impression.

So my first lesson is finished and looking forward to my next one! Are you going to join me?
